Culina Bakery needed to bring its facility up to standard before the owners could sell the business. Council and water authority requirements meant the bakery had to upgrade its facilities in order to be compliant. The existing setup was inadequate and messy, and it was not presenting the business in the manner needed to sell it. The owners knew they had a problem but not exactly what was required to fix it, so they reached out to Joniec Plumbing.
Because the client was handing over the facility as part of the sale, the deadlines were tight. Lead times on the grease trap were the biggest risk. The client had initially been told a three week wait on the unit. Our plumber found a quicker alternative through contacts in our supplier network, and we prioritised this particular job in our schedule so the compliance work could be finished in time for the sale. Our plumber on site took charge of the process and kept the client informed of what was required at each step, both to obtain compliancy and to meet the urgent timeframe.

A Ferntree Gully resident contacted us with rusty water, low water pressure and continuous leaking. The problems were pushing up water bills, affecting water quality and risking damage to the property, but the family was unsure of the cause.
After a quick examination we found old galvanised pipes in poor condition, corroded and restricting water flow. We gave the family a couple of options for replacing the pipework so they could get a consistent flow of healthy water while sticking to a budget, then presented a final water renewal plan.
The work included excavating trenches from the water meter to the front of the house, running new poly water pipe into the sub floor and new pex pipework through it, a new supply pipe on the external wall into the roof space and down the garage wall, a new hose bib tap at the kitchen, new copper pipework on the external brick wall, removal of the old galvanised pipework, a new water supply to the laundry and granny flat, then backfilling the trenches and a full site clean up.
