We were recently contacted by a Melbourne business to find a solution for their water leaking issue. After an obligation free inspection, we discovered the roof of the business had box gutters which were over flowing due to insufficient fall. This was causing the water to leak through the awning onto the Collins Street footpath.

After the initial assessment, our commercial plumbing experts worked closely with the client to recommend a complete solution which would solve the plumbing issue and allow our team to complete the work safely, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the day-to-day running of the business. Our plumbing solution included:

Removing existing flashings and roof sheets from 3 full sections of awnings on Elizabeth Street
Supply and installation of new roof battens to raise the height of the roof
Removing the existing box gutter and regrading it to provide adequate gradient to the sump end of the roof
Reinstating the existing box gutter
Supply and installation of non-combustible sarking paper to the roof battens
Supply and installation of new zincalume tray deck roofing iron and zincalume capping flashings around the perimeter of the roof
Sealing all relevant penetrations
Upgrading all flashings and cappings to colorbond
Removing rubbish from the site
